Northampton statue unveiling

On Monday 31st July 2017 a statue of Sir Malcolm was unveiled in the composers hometown of Northampton in the presence of Sir Malcolm’s family and members of the Malcolm Arnold Society.

A detailed report will appear in our Beckus Newsletter No 106  to be send out to society members later in August.

The statue of Sir Malcolm was commissioned by Northampton Borough Council after the success of the John Clare statue that was unveiled in 2016.

The other historical figures honoured are Francis Crick, Lady Wantage, Edgar Mobbs and Walter Tull.
