Janet Craxton was a celebrated oboist, but she didn’t make many recordings
But now we have these BBC recordings.

- William Alwyn: Concerto for oboe, strings & harp
- Rutland Boughton: Concerto No. 1 for oboe & strings
- Michael Berkeley: Concerto for oboe & strings
The Arnold was recorded with the BBC Scottish SO, conducted by
George Malcolm, before an invited audience in 1966.
The Alwyn is with the BBC Welsh Orchestra/John Carewe, recorded in 1970,
also before an invited audience.
The other two concertos are studio recordings:
Rutland Boughton’s by the BBC Concert Orchestra/Owain Arwel Hughes
(1978) and Michael Berkeley’s by the BBC Northern SO/Raymond Leppard (1979).
